Some traditions just get better with time. Last weekend marked the 3rd annual Halloween party at Drew and Caitlyn’s, and it was every bit as festive, cozy, and joyfully chaotic as we’ve come to expect. Between the costumesand cornhole, the evening stitched together laughter, friendly competition, and a few new rituals that promise to carry forward.

Good food, a corn hole tournament, pumpkin and costume contest. This year they gave out traveling trophies, where the winners have to bring back the trophy the next year to give it to the new winner.

Forrest Gump and Jenny

Remember last year we found out they were having a girl and this year the girl was there.

Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkebell

Willy Wonka

Alex and Madison. He came from work…so no costume.

I didn’t take photos of the pumpkins or the food this year, but I did get a few action shots.

Forrest Gump and Tinkerbell

From familiar faces to playful surprises, the day was a reminder of how traditions grow sweeter with each passing October. Already looking forward to next year’s gathering and the stories it’ll bring.
