The last couple years for our Christmas tree shopping adventure we’ve been going to Gilbert Tree Farm. The place we used to go is just become super expensive and it would take us over an hour to get there. We love Virginia Pines, but those don’t seem to be selling like they used to, so less farms in our area our growing them. We’re really glad that Gilbert Farms still has them. It’s also been raining the last few years when we’ve gone, so that’s why you haven’t seen a post about it in a while.
The weekend we went Rob was recovering from Pneumonia. In fact, I wasn’t even sure we’d be able to go. However, he got up Saturday and felt a little better so he took a shower and was like let’s go get a tree! I drove us out there. We picked out a tree and Drew cut it down for us.
Jack jumped over the candlestick! Alex jumped over the baby Christmas tree!
While the tree was being tied to the top of the car the boys enjoyed jumping on the hay and playing on the gigantic
When we got home and put the tree in the stand. We all laughed at how tiny the tree was. I still need to get some pictures of it. We ended up stacking some cinder blocks under the stand to give it some height.
