    Texas Trip 2024 – Part 1

    Today I’m sharing about the first part of our recent Texas Trip. Rob had a conference in Allen, TX in April and we had planned to fly there. In fact we had plane tickets already. Then after having my surgery and as the trip got closer, we decided it would be better to drive. We were able to get e-credits for our flights so we didn’t lose any money. This was going to make it so I wouldn’t have navigate an airport with 1 arm. It also meant we could bring as much as we wanted to. I am using…

Steve Doocy, who’s one of the hosts on that show along with his wife have written several books/cookbooks. If you are looking for great southern recipes, The VeryVera Cookbook: Recipes from My Table by Vera Stewart is a great recommendation.     + On Tuesday nights, Opelika has Summer Swing. Each week a different band performs and the OHS band sells hot dogs and burgers.     + AHS grad party for our friends’ youngest son + Monday night, Rob was out of town for work so I went to Drew and Caitlyn’s house for dinner. Then we played Exploding Kittens + Last week in the sling!! + Kayleigh loves to play in the mud *eyeroll* + Thai food for the win! We love Savanh Kitchen in Auburn + Rob made what he called ‘redneck breakfast.’ I had promised to eat whatever he made. It was Conecuh smoked sausage and ramen noodles (without the broth).

    + Rob and I went to the Employee Recognition ceremony. This year it was at the Gogue for the 1st time. Rob got his 10 year pin.     + Auburn University grad party for 2 brothers who we watched grow in scouting. The party was on the rooftop of Map of Horton Hardgrave Hall. + At said party…there were so many cute Auburn desserts. The cookies were too cute to eat. + More homemade pizza on pre-made cauliflower crust + Froggy on the back deck + Katniss looking large 😉 + Kayleigh just because she’s so cute + Dinner one night, a friend of ours smokes briskets and pork loins and they are so amazing.
