August was full. Family visits, deck drama, sweet moments with LA, and the quiet joy of everyday routines. Through it all, I stayed grounded in gratitude and kept moving forward, one step at a time. 🙂

– Lunch with Rob at Waldo’s Chicken and Beer. Rainy afternoon. Love having Alex get home after work and plops down on the couch with us and wolfs down his dinner from his restaurant. Watched the Family Plan.

– Church & Sunday School. Lunch with the fam. LA is doing so good with sitting up. Zayne’s birthday party/Going away party for Abi. Then Church Council Meeting – big discussion was replacing our senior pastor. 🙁

– Alex ate dinner (one of his favs that I make Chicken Tacos) and watched a movie with us (Vacation 2015).

– Bird hanging out on windshield when I went out to leave for lunch and he didn’t really want to leave even after starting the car. I tapped on the inside of the window and finally flew off. Alex’s condo unit not ready yet, still painting and cleaning so he’ll move on Thursday.

– I skipped Sunday School today, but went to contemporary service. Rob had media, so I sat with Rob’s Mom and Step Dad. Rob’s Dad and Step Mom went with Drew to church since Rob was going to be busy during church. Lovely time around Gramma McMahon’s table with the entire family.

– Busy, busy day at work. Had to fire a student for multiple reasons. Done walking on deck…cannot wait of that thing to be gone!!

– We went to Columbus, GA to order the hot tub. Ate at Chef Lee’s for lunch. Went home and started working on painting doors and trim as well as putting new hinges and doorknobs. Went to dinner for our anniversary at Botanic.
