July 2025 has been a blend of sunshine, milestones, and those quiet moments that sneak up on you. Rob’s 50th was a highlight, the backyard dream is edging closer to reality, and July brought its share of good meals and social snapshots. Work’s humming along and I’ve been neck-deep in blog tweaks. As August begins, the school-year memories resurface—fuzzy backpacks, early bus stop waves—and the house, though quieter, still holds echoes of those days. Let’s catch up.

Disappointments
We found out our preacher is leaving and that’s really sad especially since we’ve only been with the church a couple years. Rob and our pastor have become fast friends, so Rob is really going to miss him.
Reminiscing about Back to School times… Every August, I see the back-to-school photos roll in on FB and Insta and I’m taken right back to bus stop mornings. The scuffed sneakers, sleepy smiles, and that little wave before they climbed aboard. The house is quieter now… but the love behind those waves still lingers. Social
We had a few social things in July. Rob’s party, a wedding, and church, of course.
Work Memories a pretty smooth hiring season for Fall. We’ll see how everything falls into place next week…
Lesson Learned don’t use Auto-Ads with Google. Google uses machine learning to decide where and when to place ads—including inside your blog posts.
Current Project I’m going through all my blog posts to find where google has added links that I don’t want in posts…grrrr.

Alex moved home for a few weeks while he’s in between leases.
Rob turned 50!
Most remembered for me was celebrating Rob’s 50th birthday.
This Weekend we’re meeting up to do LA’s 6 month photos.
Looking Forward to Next Month
In August, we will hopefully get our backyard project started at least the 1st phase. Everything is just taking longer that I’d hoped, but honestly as long as its done sometime this fall, I’ll be happy.

Yep, I took Google ads off my blog when I noticed them popping up everywhere too! I’m fine with ads on the side bar or under/over the post but not IN the posts. It sounds like you’ve had a lovely month otherwise.

I remember when you moved to this church. I am sorry your pastor is leaving. Hope you get an equally good one to replace him. My sister’s Methodist Church has bloomed since the split with United Methodist.
