Back in November, I planned and organized a baby shower for Caitlyn. The theme was “A Little Cutie Pie is on the way!” I have never thrown a baby shower and it was so much fun planning and creating all the things. It was a lot of work, but I know she loved it so much, so it was definitely worth it.
I have linked to as many items we used at the bottom of the post. If there’s anything I left off, feel free to comment below.
Here’s what the invitation looked like. I designed them on Canva.
I made a sign as well that looked like this (also on Canva).
Pumpkins/gourds and candles for center pieces of table fillers to go with the fall feel.
This theme of “Cutie Pie” has a few ideas on the internet, so I got a little creative in searching. I ended up finding a similar banner on etsy and decided to make one myself. I made this pie banner out of felt, chipboard, and twine.
The onsie is similar to this one
I made this garland using the tear method (similar to this). The onsie to the far left was what Drew wore home from the hospital and the dress to the far right is one my dresses.
Since the shower was at 2pm, we didn’t need to have a full meal so we did:
–Fruit Kabobs
–Charcuterie Sticks
–Grilled Chicken Fingers
–Buffalo chicken dip and chips
Of course, we had pies! I did the mini-pies from Walmart (cherry, pecan, apple, and pumpkin). We needed gluten free pies for Cailtyn and couple other attendees, so I homemade those (apple & pumpkin).
I was thankful for Caitlyn’s grandmother and sister who brought all the non-pie items.
Mom-Osa Bar
After some visiting and everyone had arrived, I called tables up to get food and drink.
Before that they came in and found a seat and I told them they could start working on the Predictions and Advice page. (Canva)
Baby’s First (Adult) Bible…I also shared that we had a Bible that they could go highlight their favorite verse and sign their name next to it.
They also could look for tiny pacifiers around the room. That was a great thing to keep my 4 year old niece occupied.
Then we did the ice breaker activity of Find the Guest Bingo
Then we I gave the answers to the other activities and gave out prizes.
Next, Caitlyn started opening gifts. It was just the sweetest time.
We put this in the invitations. She got some many sweet books and gifts.
After that it was picture time and just more fellowship. I was so thankful to have so many people staying to help clean up.
We sent everyone home with a little bag of Hershey’s Hugs & Kisses.
