A Day at SeaWorld – Orlando, Florida

By | April 14, 2021

Today, I’m continuing to discuss our Spring Break Trip. This is the 3rd full day of our trip. To have an idea on what to do during your Spring Break, see this here. On Tuesday, we got up earlier so we could drive over to Orlando for our day at SeaWorld! When planning the trip, we had originally thought we would have a day at the water park associated with Busch Gardens, Adventure Island. However we looked at the weather for that week and it was going to be lows in the 50s at night and highs in low 70s so that just wasn’t going to be warm enough to enjoy. That’s when we decided to do SeaWorld, as it is associated with Busch Gardens and could be included in the 3 day park pass we got.

Since we had jumped through all the hoops with our passes the day before, getting into SeaWorld was easy. It took 10 minutes to go through security and off the boys went to hit the roller coasters.

Rob had already looked at the show times. There was a Dolphin show not too long after we got there, so we headed there. Instead of the dolphin show being in the Dolphin Theater, it was in the Dolphin Cove due to COVID.

After the dolphin show we continued exploring the rest of the day. We didn’t share any meals with the boys, but we did meet up with them at one point. They of course were too busy to stop and see any of the shows. After leaving the park, Rob and I had wished we would have at least made them come with us to see the Orca show at the end of the day. Here’s the rest of the day through pics mostly.

This little girl had a squeaky toy, which had these dolphins totally enamored. It was quite amazing.

I didn’t get many pictures of the roller coasters as I did at Busch Gardens. In order of Alex’s favorite rides at SeaWorld are #1 Manta, #2 Mako, and #3 Kraken.

We went to the Orca show in the morning as well as the show right before they closed. We sat in 2 different locations, both of which were good seats.

The 2nd show ended up being much more spectacular with the whales doing some more exciting simultaneous breaches, which is always amazing.

And much like Busch Gardens, SeaWorld had an impressive amount of birds and beautiful plants.

Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin
Here you enter into the Empire of the Penguin that is a very cold area where the penguins live. Very cold, but do worth it to see these cuties. Even for a minute.

The park closed at 6 that day. So we met up with the boys and headed out to find some dinner.

We asked Alex to figure out what he wanted for dunner. He chose dinner at BD Mongolian Grill.

After we parked, we noticed a candy store across the block, which Rob had really been wanting to go to a candy store so we ran over there to look. They were super pricy, so we didn’t buy anything. I love anything corgi!

Mongolian Grills are where you go pick out all your raw meat and veggies on the buffet. Then you add in the sauces you want and bring it to the big round grill so they can cook it.

Between you and Joanne, now I want to go to an aquarium!!! And I love Mongolian Grill. I haven’t been to one in ages but I love that everyone can just get what they want.

You got some fabulous photos! I love Manta and Kraken. We haven’t been back to Sea World in ages but they were building the new penguin habitat last time we were there.
