Here’s the next Scripture a week post for the coming month of August. I know for August much of the south will be returning to school. Teachers, administrators, janitors, bus drivers, and students gear up for another school year. While most parents are glad to have their kids back to a more structured schedule, many parents are reluctant to have to get back into all that comes with school and the after work activities that happen during the school year. With all that being said, I’ve gathered some more verses for us to pray over and possibly memorize during the month of August. This is another great group of words from the Bible. I hope you have find comfort in them.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
Mark 12:30
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:7,8
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1
“…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15b
