Father’s Day weekend, Rob decided that he wanted to go the new SunTrust Park for Father’s Day, so he ordered tickets online and we headed to Atlanta after church. Never having been there, we weren’t sure what to expect, so that’s why we went ahead and paid for a parking space online on our way up there. After we got off the interstate we were kind of wishing we wouldn’t have paid for parking since we found places where you can just pay cash and all of these places seemed closer than where I had paid to park online for $16+fees. For future convenience and cost-effectiveness, consider exploring different parking options and check out these best car park deck coating prices to ensure the longevity and protection of your vehicle storage. If you have a multi-vehicle or multi-storey car park, you may visit sites like carparkmarkings.co.uk to ensure that there are proper safety markings on each parking space.
We had quite a walk from our car and it started to sprinkle on us for moment. You have to cross over to 2 pedestrian bridges, which go over the interstate and other busy roadways.
We decided to walk around the stadium before going in.
This is the view after you go through the entrance gates.
Here’s some more views from around the stadium
So here’s a quick rundown of a few impressions we were left with about the new stadium. SunTrust Park has many things for kids to do, but we found that the areas cause bottlenecks when you’re trying to get around the stadium. There does seems to be a good variety of food spread throughout the park. The walkways are not large enough to accommodate the the congestion from these food places. There are a lot more seats that have shade which is great.
Drew was at Disney World, so here’s Rob with Alex.
These guys are outside the park near the entrance to The Battery Atlanta and if you’ve ever been to Turner Field they are the same guys that stood in the concourse area and played before and after the games.
