Week 5: Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2026
Here’s what life looked like in a few pics from last week.
+ My in-laws are in Auburn for good now. Here is my daughter-in-law and LA with Rob’s step mom, Pam.
+ Yesterday, I was craving fried catfish. Many of the places that had catfish have closed, so when I googled “Catfish near me” a new place popped called Sam’s Southern Eatery. Its apparently a chain, but we went and it was pretty good!
+ LA is getting over another ear infection as well as getting more teeth. She was feeling pretty good on Thursday, but I did catch her with her hand on her face. Poor baby!
+ I was so excited to get to witness Auburn beat Texas in men’s basketball.
+ 16 degrees, but feels like 4 degrees…Um, I live in the south! Its not supposed to be that cold.
That poor baby girl. Ear infections are the worst. All of my grands have struggled with them. And I swear there is a link between ear infections and cutting teeth. I know all the experts deny it but so often my babies would have an ear infection or just get sick with some kind of something when they were cutting teeth. Hope she is feeling better.
That fried fish looks so good. I used to work in a restaurant that served all-you-can eat catfish for $1.99 with fries and hushpuppies and slaw. Oh, man, it was so good. And so greasy!! And so popular!! We were sooo busy on fish nights.
