Week 2: Jan. 5-11, 2026
Week 2 turned into one of those weeks with plenty happening both inside and outside the house. Rob missed nearly a full week of work with this terrible sinus stuff going around, and the rest of the days were a mix of busy moments at Neville, odd little things around home, and a sweet visit from my tiniest regular.

+ Last weekend we went to a sporting event each day in Neville Arena. On Friday we kicked things off with Women’s Gymnastics, where Auburn defeated NC State in the first meet of the season.
+ The second sporting event we attended was on Saturday, when we got to watch Auburn Men’s Basketball defeat 15th‑ranked Arkansas. Always a fun day when you get to watch Coach Calipari lose.
+ One day last week we had a dense fog advisory. When I left for work I hardly noticed, but by mid‑morning when I ran home to meet the appliance repair guy the fog was noticeably heavier by that point.
+ Sunday morning after church, as we drove up to the house, I saw a dark shape on the pinnacle of our roof and at first I thought it was our cat. But when I looked again, I realized it was a vulture. A smaller one was on the road eating a dead squirrel while this one just watched from above. Weird!
+ That afternoon we headed to our third sporting event at Neville, and this one was an exciting win for Women’s Basketball. Their first SEC victory and the first conference win for our new coach.
+ And you know my week would not be complete without a visit from my little chickadee. She started crawling right before Christmas and soon after started pulling up.

It sounds like a fun week with all those sporting events!
LA is growing up so fast! I can’t believe she is already crawling! It would be fun to see a gymnastics event. Gymnasts are so talented!
