Time to sum up another month. Here we are for May already!

2025 May Collage - Memories of the Month - Here's a great idea for wrapping up the month with a set of questions to remember how your last month with. I love going back and reading through what happened throughout the years.

LIFE

Here’s my weekly posts to catch you up.
Week 19 & 20
Week 21 & 22

Loving the weather lately. It hasn’t been super hot here and I’m loving it!

Happy

Excited to hopefully get the ball rolling on more projects in the backyard.

Reminiscing This from 2003 when Drew was in Kindergarten, with his best friend at the time Austin. They are both Daddy’s now with kids just a few month apart. Crazy!

Drew and his best friend

Social I don’t think we did too much social stuff this month actually.

Work Memories My student hiring process for summer went so smoothly. Amazing! Love it when it all comes together and everything is in place by the deadline.

Lesson Learned A nurse at the surgical center when I was having my endoscopy said I remind her so much of her cousin, I believe it was. She said I have a twin, not only by looks but mannerisms. That’s a weird thing to hear, but interesting.

Current Project I’m working on editing my photos from our Vegas trip.

Drew and Caitlyn have big dreams and I just think it is so cool. I am so proud of them.

Alex finished his time at the Vintage 2298 since its doors closed this month. He starts his new job on June 2.

Rob had been busy dealing with last minute details for a conference that starts on June 1.

Most remembered Lots to remember for this month, but the biggest thing for us is LA’s first time at the lake.

This Weekend will determine what trip occurs this month because it is based around the Super Regionals and if Auburn wins.

Looking Forward to Next Month In June, there could be a couple trip options. Besides that I’m looking forward to a quieter, more chill work life since its summer.

FOOD

Eating Again not eating as healthy as I prefer.

Favorite The okra at Vintage 2298 was delish! I don’t get fried stuff too often, but this was worth it.

  1. My father had colon cancer so I wish I could do the at home test…. sigh… alas, I just got my colonoscopy scheduled for September. Already dreading it. – glad you got a clear test!!!

I have not been eating as healthy as I’d like either. It was actually a relief to get home from vacation and start eating fruits and veggies and somewhat healthier again.

  3. Look at you with that baby!! She is the cutest thing. How did she do at the lake? Hope she will be a big camper/outdoors girl, too.
Oh, that okra looks so good. The only veggie my brother – 59 years old – will eat is fried okra. He would love that big bowl full.
It’s wonderful that the kids have big dreams. We all had big dreams and were so idealistic once upon a time. I have to be careful because I still dream big and get upset when my dreams don’t come true.
Thanks for suggesting shows and podcasts. I am watching the Karen Read retrial…talk about crazy. Haven’t seen that docuseries. Need to check it out. And I always forget about the Amazing Race.

  4. Glad to hear you don’t have to have a colonoscopy! The ocra looks so good! Hope time at the lake was fun for LA!
