We miiiiiiight be going out of town this weekend. It came up when we went to lunch today. We may go to Savannah. I’ve never been, but really want to go. I’ve been looking for hotels and there’s not a lot available so that my nix our idea. It would be fun to be spontaneous and basically just jump in the car and go. We’ll see……..

Yes, it’s 11:30 PM and you know it’s summer when I’m up bloggin’ this late! I’ve been working on the new banner and just doin’ my normal blog readin’. My new background reminds me of having hives or chicken pox or something.

Who doesn’t love them some “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”?
Ok, I know it’s a show you probably love or hate! Before T baby was born I would call one of my friends and it never failed that I called her when she was watching some show about a queer guy. I was like ok, whatever! And then in the middle of the night while nursing T baby, I came across this show. I decided to give it a watch. It came on again so I watched it. Well, it turned out to be a Queer Eye marathon. From then on I’ve been HOOKED! I don’t know WHY! Every time I watch it I’m like WHY am I watching this? But the guys just crack me up and it’s always interesting to see what happens and how everything turns out. I know….weird! Are there any shows you watch that you’re not real sure why you watch them, but you do? EDIT: I’m watching it! First Day of Summer:
Swimming lessons for A-man @ AU 9-9:30 – seemed to go well. Although he complains he’s already a great swimmer and he doesn’t need lessons anymore. ARGH! Dentist appt for A-man 11:15 – They were running behind, which was not fun. T-baby was grouchy and in desperate need of a nap. but luckily A-man had no cavities!!! They said from looking at the X-ray that his “canine” teeth are coming in side ways so get ready for braces around 11 or 12 yo. In the X-ray you could see all the teeth that were down there waiting to come in along with his 12 year molars. Really cool! I know I’m a geek! 30 minutes of ready and of course he griped about this also, but oh well! 30 minutes of cleaning/vacuuming/washing clothes Lunch with dad at home and now it’s nap/movie time! Hey, I am back on for just a bit. I have found the last few days that I haven’t been on my computer except to check email, I have not been able to sleep. I don’t know if it’s linked or not, but I know me being on the computer is relaxing for me. So maybe since I’m not winding down, I am not able to relax when going to bed. I don’t know.
I’ve added a couple links to the right. One is for Dave Denniston, a swimmer from AU, who was in an accident in February. The other link is for Team Endorphins, who is a pair of bikers (on of which is Guy Wells, who is my uncle) and they are going to Race Across America to raise money for The Boys and Girls Club of Lubbock, TX. Today was an emotionally draining day. It was so sad saying bye to my kids. We cried and cried as we stood at the car rider line. But tonight was fun. Got to go out and have drinks with coworkers. Strawberry maragarita!! YUM!

I’m going to take a computer vacation! Yes, I will be MIA for awhile! I don’t know how long, but I need a break! I know it sounds nuts, but I feel like my life is ruled my computer. I will still check email and I may write a quick post here and there or I may not! I’ll just have to see how it goes. Thanks for understanding!

1 and half more days with students…
Friday is my last day of work and then it’s summer! At least for 2 weeks, then I have workshops for 2 weeks. Today we got our writing scores back, which I’ve been so nervous about. Our school’s scores went up! We were so excited! And when I got the break down of my class I was really happy! 5 fours (four being the best score), 13 threes, 8 twos, and 1 one! I’m not happy about that 1, because… well never mind! Anyway so 66% of my class was a 3 or 4 so that made me feel really good! Go me!! And my class!! Posted 5/16/2005 at 7:45 PM

Have you ever had one of those days that seems to drag on like it’s never going to end? My days are seeming to get longer and longer!! With only 6 more days with the kids and 8 total, we’re all very anxious! So today I’m sitting there, 30 mintues until the kids go home. I’m doodling on a piece of paper, not really thinking, or looking to see exactly what sheet of paper I’m marking on. Well, it turns out it’s a very important piece of paper! ACK!! WHAT are YOU thinking? I almost said out loud, but restrain myself at the last second! And on top of all that my head hurts and neck is burning. But what’s new?

Oh my goodness!! Sometimes you just don’t realize how fat you are until you see a picture of yourself!! I just uploaded some pictures from my camera to my computer from yesterday. Oh my gosh! I feel like total sh*t now! I’m so frickin’ fat that I want to cry! I want to bury myself until I can some how magically get skinny! I don’t have will power! I don’t have patience! I want it off NOW!! Anyone have any suggestions?

We went to the Auburn Baseball game today. I’m sitting there trying to enjoy myself and watch the game. These people sitting behind us are just talking away, like they’ve forgotten where they are! I hear about everything from her forgetting to shave her legs to the fact that she needs to paint her toenails, but doesn’t know what color….Also about the fact she’s only had 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 days because of finals…and on and on!!! This was all in the first 2 innings after which they left! UGH! That is so annoying! I understand some people see ballgames as social events, but do you have to talk so that everyone on that side can hear you?! Some of us are here to actually WATCH the game! Some of us don’t care to hear your stupid conversations! Some of us don’t care that you didn’t SHAVE your legs or that you think you want to try a new color of LOREAL fingernail polish! AGH!

RANTING AND RAVING Don’t you hate when you think, “I’ll just run to K-Mart or Big Lots or somewhere faster than Super Walmart!” And instead you end up going to those 2 places, PLUS Walmart because they don’t have what you need!!! And instead you ended up taking twice as long as it would have you if you would have gone to Walmart in the first place!!!! Ahhh!! My child is driving me nuts!! He’s had a big homework assignment that he’s been working on all week. It is due tomorrow and so he’s having to do about half of it tonight, because we didn’t get enough of it done the last couple days. He is such a perfectionist and ends up erasing wholes in his paper and then has to start over! Argh! I deal with this all day and it’s real hard to come home to more of it!! Also, I get home today (while sitting here listening to my older child gripe about this homework he has) and I check my email and I get this: Your all nuts…we checked it out on the web for false e-mails and this is This is a response to chain letter email that I HAVE NOT SENT, BUT HAS MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON IT BECAUSE I WAS SENT IT EARLIER IN THE WEEK!!!!!! I was mad at this, which was so stupid, but I was! So I nicely replied by saying: Excuse me, I didn’t send you or any body anything! I don’t send junk mail! And I don’t appreciate your email! Fun weekend!
Friday we celebrated my BIL’s 23rd birthday be going to Shogun. Saturday we headed up to Atlanta. Went to Lenox Square Mall and went the Apple Store to look around and get Tiger. While we were there, Rob and I bounce the idea around of getting him an iPod Mini. I have one of the original ones. But then we started looking at the iPod Photos. We talked to a sales rep, who of course convinced me that’s what I needed! So we decided he’d get my iPod and I’d have the new one!! For Mac users: I just loaded Tiger. I haven’t gotten to check out all the new features, but so far Dashboard is really cool and Spotlight is revolutionary! We watched a demo yesterday, which showed how to use some of the new features! Anyway, so after the mall we went downtown and walked around. Then, it was off to Turner Field for the Braves vs Cardinals Game.
