Ingredients
  • ¾ cup chili powder
  • 6 teaspoons paprika
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 3 teaspoons oregano
  • ⅓ cup cumin (less if you're not a fan)
  • 1 tablespoon salt (more to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Store in an airtight container.
  3. When you're ready to cook:
  4. Brown 1 lb. of hamburger meat.
  5. When it's most of the way cooked, drain grease.
  6. Sprinkle in about 3 tbs. of taco seasoning along with about a cup of water.
  7. Stir to ensure mix gets distributed evenly.
  8. Simmer for about 10 minutes until some of the water evaporates and flavors are incorporated into the meat.
  9. Serve with hard or soft taco shells and shredded cheese, dice tomatoes, and shredded lettuce if desired.
