Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1¾ butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbs. vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips
  • Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
  1. Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
  2. In a different bowl, cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Slowly pour in dry ingredients and continue to mix until all dry ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Pour in chocolate chips and stir until they are evenly mixed.
  5. Press a piece of wax paper down over the dough. Then, press down a piece of plastic wrap making sure to remove air while doing so. Refrigerate overnight and up to 72 hours.
  6. When you are ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°. Put a piece of wax paper on your cookie sheet. Make ping pong size balls of dough, set them 1½ inches a part and then squish them down with the palm of your hand.
  7. Cook for 15 minutes and then allow them to cool on a rack.
