Italian Chili {Crockpot}

- 1 lb. ground beef
- ½ lb. Italian sausage
- 1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup chopped celery
- 2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbs. chili powder
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 3 tbs. honey
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 can (16 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup diced zucchini
- 3 tsp. minced fresh parsley
- Shredded mozzarella cheese, optional
- Cook beef and sausage over medium heat until brown in a large skillet. Make sure meat is crumbled up and there's not any big chunks of meat.
- In a crockpot, combine the all other ingredients.
- Drain beef mixture and add to crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until vegetables are tender.
- When ready to serve, scoop into bowl and sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
