Author: Lysha @ A Camera & A Cookbook
Recipe type: Main
Serves: 4
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour (I use whole wheat flour)
- salt, pepper
- Sauce
- 1½ cup honey
- 1 cup bbq sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Tabasco (more for more spice)
- 1 tsp red pepper powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- Pour oil into frying pan until it's about ⅓ full. Heat on low.
- Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
- Scramble eggs and add a splash of salt and pepper.
- Dip each piece into egg. Make sure it is coated.
- Then toss it around through the flour until coated.
- After all chicken is coated, add chicken to oil. Make sure none are touching or overlapping. Flip each piece.
- When pieces are golden brown remove from oil and place on plate with paper towel and dab off excess oil.
- While chicken is cooking in oil, you will need to make sauce.
- Sift brown sugar into bowl. If you don't have a sifter you can just make sure there is not any large clumps.
- Pour in BBQ, honey, and Tabasco and whisk until smooth.
- Add in all other spices and whisk again.
- Toss chicken into sauce and then serve.
