Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups of mashed potatoes
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • ½ cup cream, for a lighter version substitute vegetable or chicken broth
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan
  • 1¾ pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1½ cups of frozen peas, carrots, and corn
  • 1 tbs. minced garlic
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tbs. Worcestershire
Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Brown mean with onion until meat cooked through and onions are caramelized. Drain grease.
  2. Toss in garlic. Pour Worcestershire sauce over meat and allow to simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add in carrots, peas, and corn. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Pour meat mixture into 9x13 backing dish. Spread mashed potatoes over meat mixture smoothly. Top with a little grated cheese.
