Ingredients
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • ¾ stick butter
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup of dark brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup of sugar
  • ¼ cup of Mountain Dew or Sprite
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Peel apples and cut in to small bite size pieces.
  3. Spray 9x13 pan (or any semi-deep baking pan) with non-stick spray.
  4. I had some extra apple pieces, so I just sprinkled those on the pan among the rolls.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in both types of sugar and cinnamon. Allow to simmer on medium heat and whisk gently.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Wrap 3-4 pieces of apple in each crescent roll.
  8. Pour butter mixture over rolls evenly.
  9. Then, pour Mountain Dew over rolls evenly.
  10. When golden brown, remove from oven. Remove each roll from pan and place them on a cooling rack. (I put them on a paper plate to help absorb some of the moisture.)
