Caramel-Toffee Apples {Crockpot}

By | September 4, 2014

One of my favorite parts of Fall is getting to enjoy caramel apples, but what would make it even better is not getting caramel all over my face in the process! Such a simple solution to the problem is slicing the apples up and then dipping them! What? So easy!

Caramel Toffee Apples:This recipe makes caramel in a crockpot. Caramel-toffee apples are so easy to make, yummy, and also easier to eat than regular candied apples.

Servings: 5
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 1-2 hours

Ingredients:
1 bag (14 oz.) caramel candies
1/8 cup apple juice
1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (optional, I’m not a fan, so I leave this out.)
5 apples sliced
1 bag (8 oz.) toffee bits

Directions:
1. Put unwrapped caramels, apple juice, and pumpkin spice (if so desired) in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 1-2 hours. You stir every 15-20 minutes if possible.
2. Pour toffee bits onto a dish. Put a fork into soft part of apple. Dip the skin side of apple caramel and then dip in toffee bits.
3. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then enjoy!

    One of my favorite things about fall is that everything comes in the flavor of caramel-apple. I’m looking forward to trying this out. Thanks for sharing!

    Oh. My. God! I think I may need to make these tonight. Now if only the soup I have in the crockpot can hurry up and be done so I can put these in!

    Yum! This looks delicious. I love how this is a sorta-no-mess version and the addition of toffee sounds THAT much more delicious. I can’t wait to make this this Fall; I’ve already pinned it!
